‘Gossip Girl’ Reunion: Chace Crawford Teases Possibility for Upper East Siders Coming Back

There’s been speculation about a Gossip Girl reunion for years. Will it ever happen?

On Monday, E! News posted an interview with Chace Crawford who was known as one of the show’s most prominent characters- in the sense that you either loved him or hated him. Let’s be real, Nate Archibald was boring.

Crawford is now playing a superhero in the new Amazon Prime series The Boys, which sounds like a giant leap for the actor ever since he left the Upper East Side.

“We’re kinda flipping it on its head, and these superheroes are essentially the bad guys and doing all these corrupt things,” Crawford said. “I think that it’s fun, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s not like these altruistic superheroes trying to save the world. You kinda watch the show and you’re like, what is going on?”

As far as making an appearance in a Gossip Girl reunion, it could happen. But let’s just hope it happens soon since all those kids are growing up and moving on.

“I always say I’d be open to it. I’m definitely a little bit more excited about this show right now but I would love to see everyone again, and if they could somehow figure out a away to make it work, I would love to do it,” Crawford said. “But we’re getting old now, we’re getting up there.”

‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot Is In the Works: Make it Pure Evil

Hey, Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl’s back.

It was announced on Wednesday that the guilty pleasure series is getting a reboot. Surprisingly, this didn’t start out as a rumor or as something “in the works.” It just happened pretty miraculously.

The show has a 10-episode order so far and will be on HBO Max. Not a bad place for a salacious series.

The reboot will take on a group of new elite teenagers who do pretty much what they always do- look super hot but do terrible things to each other while living the disgustingly superficial life of New York City. Sounds exciting, but will it be worth it?

There will be a lot of comparing to the original so fans of the series are going to want it to truly live up to its potential. It won’t be easy to find the ideal Serena or Dan type of characters.

But it may not be a bad idea to find someone with a gorgeous yet evil look for Blair. Leighton Meester may have had queen bee energy, but someone else could reign with true terror this time around. If these kids are going to do bad things, then they might as well go all out.

It probably won’t be the exact characters, but the new ones will take the spots that the originals came from. So it wouldn’t be a bad idea to switch some things up. After all, the mysterious blogger was all about drama.

It shouldn’t be drama this time. It needs nastiness, vengeance and horrible, horrible things. Then perhaps this reboot will do its time.
