Their marriage didn’t work out, But Fergie and Josh Duhamel love their little boy.
The former couple’s son, Axl Jack, celebrated his 6th birthday today and he seemed to have a great day based on the photos his mom posted on Instagram. The kid celebrated a tropical theme with decorated flowers and straw. Fergie wears an island-themed outfit as she and her son smile for the camera.
Fergie captioned the photos, “Happy 6th Birthday #AxlJack #AxlsIsland.”
Duhamel also wished his boy a happy birthday with sweet father-son pictures. As they hang out outdoors, Duhamel gives his son an embrace as they both smile and look like they’re in complete bliss.
The photos are captioned, “Never a dull moment with this kid. Happy Birthday, Axl Jack!”
Based on the photos, Axl looks like an incredibly happy child. And with parents who love him this much, what’s not to be happy about, right?
Fergie and Duhamel got married in 2009, but announced their split in 2017. The divorce was filed earlier this year.
“With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the former couple said in a joint statement. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”
Kirsten Dunst- you are superb and incredible. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
The actress made headlines with her recent interview on SiriusXM’s In-Depth With Larry Flick when she talked about her career and how she never felt recognized for her work. And she was pretty open about the fact that she would like to have more credit.
“I know that all you have is your work at the end of the day, and that’s all people really care about, and I’m intelligent enough to know that and have perspective,” she said. “But sometimes you’re like, it’d be nice to be recognized by your peers.”
Dunst pointed out that she hasn’t really been nominated for much except for a Golden Globe nom when she was young (for Interview with the Vampire) and another for Fargo. Beyond that though, she mentioned that some of her work didn’t receive the praise it deserved- until way later.
“Of the things that people like, remember when Marie Antoinette — y’all panned it? And now you all love it. Drop Dead Gorgeous? Panned. Now you all love it,” she said. “I feel like a lot of things I do, people like later.”
Dunst then added that she feels like “nobody” and people remember her just as “the girl from Bring it On.”
Strangely, this interview happened right near the day Dunst received her star on the Walk of Fame. So clearly, she did something right. And it’s much deserved!
But here’s the thing. Dunst is so much more than the girl from Bring it On. Sure, that was one of her most iconic roles- and her acting as the spirited, goofy cheerleader was phenomenal. But she is not “the girl from Bring it On.” She’s Kristen Dunst!
Let’s take a look at some of her other roles that defined her as a real actress:
Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man– in a big-budget superhero flick, Dunst was portraying an iconic comic book character. And Mary Jane wasn’t just Spider-Man’s girlfriend; she wasn’t the “star,” but she was strong and vulnerable, and the image of Mary Jane swinging through the city from a web is powerful and mesmerizing. Trust me, Kirsten, not everyone was there just for Spidey.
Dunst also had a role in the underrated film Crazy/Beautiful where she played a party teen with severe depression. When she meets a guy who comes from poverty, but is on his way to a promising future, the two connect with a blossoming and brave romance. Dunst’s character stays true to her authenticity and tries to do her best despite the obstacles. The scene when she breaks down to her dad on the driveway after a rough night of partying should’ve earned Dunst another Golden Globe nom.
By the way, just look at her character in Crazy/Beautiful and then in Bring it On. Those polar opposites prove that Dunst knows how to act.
There is also her role as Lux from The Virgin Suicides. This was one of Dunst’s most dramatic roles playing a rebellious teen girl who’s having sex at 14 while living with four sisters and two religious parents. Dunst showed that she wasn’t afraid to play the bad girl who was sexually active and cried while bringing her records down the stairs to set them on fire. This was another step away as a goofball in Bring it On. Dunst’s dramatic roles also step away from the innocent roles she played as a child.
Interview with the Vampire– Dunst was beautiful child with her innocent face and golden curls; she looked just like a doll that came to life. And to put her dark features to the test as a vampire was electrifying. Dunst also played Amy in Little Women where she was pure innocence with potential to be the ideal ingenue.
What makes Dunst even more deserving of these credits is that she beat another popular actress for these two roles- Christina Ricci. Oh, and Dunst beat another star for the role in Jumanji– Scarlett Johansson. Dunst snagged a role from the now-big actress Scarlett Johansson and somehow Dunst is still not getting recognition?
There are plenty of other roles where Dunst deserves a ton of credit- Anastasia, Small Soldiers, All I Wanna Do…and Dick! How is it that Dunst doesn’t have 10 giant awards stashed away?!
What makes Dunst so amazing is how she has so many credits in great films and she always, ALWAYS puts her heart into them. Every role that Dunst has played, she gives her best and doesn’t hold back for a second. I can only assume it comes from integrity, care and dedication.
It’s really her spark that makes her wonderful. Whether she’s a dippy cheerleader, a depressed misfit, a superhero’s love interest or an irritated bridesmaid (Bachelorette, anyone?), Dunst is always in it to win it. And that is why I hope she will keep fighting the good fight and win an Oscar.
You are beyond your doubt, Kirsten. And I’m sure the academy will one day stop at nothing to see what you do next.
It sounds like Kristen Stewart’s love life is moving forward.
On Tuesday, E! News reported that the actress is “focused” on her new romance with screenwriter Dylan Meyer, and that they’re “having fun.” While things didn’t work out for Stewart and ex Stella Maxwell, the show of love must go on.
“Kristen is spending time with Dylan and very happy about it. She was seeing Stella for a little bit while it worked, but now she has moved on with Dylan,” a source told the site.
“Kristen isn’t holding back at all and loves being with her,” the source added. “They are moving quickly and always together. ”
But…does this mean Stewart might go back with Maxwell? It definitely seems like a possibility since the two have some history that may or may not repeat.
“It will always be very easy for Kristen to fall back with Stella because they have history and an attraction,” the insider shared. “The chemistry is there and they know each other so well.”
Apparently, Stewart and Maxwell have been on and off quite a few times so you never know.
Let’s just be glad that most of the media has gotten over Stewart getting back together with Robert Pattinson. Remember how many years that lasted?
Stewart will star in the new Charlie’s Angels movie playing Sabina. The film also stars Naomi Scott, Elizabeth Banks and Sam Claflin. It will hit theaters on November 15.
It’s Lizzie’s time to shine back in the spotlight…while Zoey is hiding out in the dark!
Ever since word got out that Lizzie McGuire was getting a reboot and will be starring Hilary Duff again, another former teen star had something to say about it.
Jamie Lynn Spears, who became a TV hit for her starring role on Zoey 101, took to Instagram on Tuesday to say how she felt about Lizzie returning to TV. She posted a video with scenes from Lizzie McGuire that played the famous song “This is What Dreams Are Made of.” But the video cuts short with Spears’ character Zoey looking shocked and upset while the Justin Bieber song “That Should Be Me” plays in the background.
Spears captioned the video, “When Zoey heard about Lizzie’s reboot…#Zoey101 #SoundOn”
Well, Jamie, it wouldn’t hurt to look into a Zoey 101 reboot either! Right?
Meanwhile, Duff opened up on the Lizzie reboot and how happy she is to see where everyone will end up.
“I think there’s a lot of pressure involved with pleasing the fans that are so opinionated, which I love so much, and I have similar strong opinions on where people ended up, what got her to New York, who’s still in her life and who isn’t, her job, her personal journey,” she said.
Demi Burnett is making an admirable name for herself being in the first same-sex relationship that Bachelor in Paradise has ever seen.
On Monday, E! News shared an interview with the reality star who couldn’t stop gushing over the moment she saw her girlfriend Kristian Haggerty on the beach in the last episode. She said the moment was unexpected and “crazy.”
“I’d never felt something like that in my whole body,” Burnett said. “I thought I was leaving. I was ready to leave, so whenever I saw her, it was just a beautiful moment, and I was really impressed by how they captured it.”
Burnett then revealed that she wanted Haggerty to stay with her on the show although her girlfriend isn’t the biggest fan of being on TV. But she was willing to make Burnett happy. And it sounds like they both have some conflicts coming up in future episodes.
“I honestly just took it as it came at me and processed through it right then and there. And the most important thing that I wanted to focus on was the relationship and the communication that I was having with Kristian, so I had to prioritize that over all the other things going on in my head,” Burnett said.
Since this is the first same-sex couple on the TV show, predictions spell out a happy ending for the sake of audiences rooting for equality. So here’s hoping that any drama these two deal with, it will be solved with love!
The next Halloween movie is about to take another blast to the past.
On Monday, Variety announced that Halloween Kills, the next installment of the popular horror movie franchise, will bring back a familiar name from the original 1978 film. Tommy Doyle, who was one of the kids that Laurie (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) babysat in the first Halloween movie, will appear in the upcoming sequel.
Tommy will be played by Anthony Michael Hall, who has a number of credits, including War Machine, Live by Night and Foxcatcher. Fans from the 80s also might remember Hall as Brian in The Breakfast Club and Jim in Edward Scissorhands.
It’s unclear exactly what Tommy will be up to in the upcoming slasher film. It’s been more than 40 years since the scary man in the white mask traumatized him and his babysitter- I guess some things never change.
Adding Tommy sounds like a fun move for the film, but let’s hope this movie will be more satisfying than the 2018 version. Ever since the abominations of Halloween: H20 and Halloween: Resurrection, it seemed like after so many years the next Halloween movie would be epic, but the result was pretty so-so.
Perhaps, that’s because there have been approximately 8,000 Halloween movies and only about three of them actually had some thought put into the storylines. So can the next movie (and the one after that) have some of that please?
Halloween Kills hits theaters on October 16, 2020. Halloween Ends hits theaters on October 15, 2021.
That’s what you get when you mock dancers! If you snide them, they’ll come right back to you and show what they’re made of.
The drama of the ballet comment started last Thursday when Lara Spencer of Good Morning America made an ignorant remark about Prince George taking ballet classes saying “we’ll see how long that lasts” while holding in her laughter.
Of course, this led to a number of pissed off people telling her how horrible it is that she would shame a 6-year-old boy for doing something he enjoys. Spencer apologized for her comment in an Instagram post by writing, “My sincere apologies for an insensitive comment I made in pop news yesterday. From ballet to anything one wants to explore in life, I say GO FOR IT. I fully believe we should all be free to pursue our passions. Go climb your mountain—and love every minute of it.”
Now Travis Wall, the choreographer of So You Think You Can Dance, came up with his own little snarky plan to get back at Spencer. He and other dancers plan to perform ballet right outside of the Good Morning America building.
The dancer took to his Instagram story to post the news and offered anyone else to join.
“We are taking ballet class outside Good Morning America,” he said. “Bring your tights, bring your shoes, you can dance in sneakers, maybe a coffee.” He added that Lara may show up if it comes down to it.
“We are starting at 7 a.m. Anyone is welcome,” Wall continued. “If we have some youth, some kids, you guys come out. We want to show them boys dance too and we’re just here to all celebrate each other and have a beautiful time outside Good Morning America.”
Sounds like it’s going to be a fun day, but since Spencer already apologized, chances are likely she won’t be too headstrung about it. Regardless, dancing with Wall on the street outside of a building sounds like a truly beautiful time!
Check out Wall’s initial reaction to Spencer’s comment below where he keeps it firm yet super classy.
