This is Us is about to take its storylines to entirely new levels when it premieres this fall.
On Wednesday, E! News released an interview with Chrissy Metz who plays Kate on the NBC series. One of the last things we saw in Kate’s storyline was watching her gave birth to her and Toby’s son, Jack, named after the dad we all know and love. But the baby was born prematurely, which gave a lot of precautions for how Kate and Toby were going to take care of him.
Metz revealed that some drama might go down for the couple now that they have a baby to look after.
“We’re going to see Kate and Toby co-parenting and how/if that will change the dynamic in their relationship,” the actress said.
Little Jack’s health problems will likely continue for a while and things will not be easy for his parents. We can definitely expect a lot of emotional feels and Metz is looking forward to what’s to come.
“What I’m excited about is it’s unexpected, but also really important in the way that Dan and the writers have orchestrated Kate and Toby and Jack,” she said.
Metz also mentioned what a huge fan she is of the writing.
“I’m an audience member on the show that I’m on,” she said. “I know that sounds silly, but…it’s one of the best shows on television. The writing is ridiculous.”
This is Us Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, September 24 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
