There’s been a lot of talk about Lori Loughlin’s college admission scandal. So what does her on-screen husband have to say about it?

On Monday, Entertainment Tonight released an interview with John Stamos who played Loughlin’s husband in the popular sitcom Full House. The two later reprised their roles in the Netflix spin-off Fuller House. The show is getting ready for the fifth and final season where it turns out that Loughlin will not be on it given her circumstances. Earlier this year, she and her husband were accused of paying thousands of dollars in bribes to get both their daughters to attend University of Southern California.

So what exactly does this mean for Loughlin as far as not being part of Fuller House anymore? Stamos said that he’s “figuring it out.”

He said that there isn’t a lot of chatter about it, but the actor said it’s been hard on his colleagues.

“I haven’t been on the show yet and it hasn’t come up so I’m going to talk to some people about it this week and see what’s going on,” Stamos said. “I’m just going to wait a little longer before I talk about it. It’s a difficult situation for everyone involved. I don’t mean just on our side.”

Stamos also mentioned that the show still has potential to continue in some way since it still touches the hearts of its fans.

“There’s too much happiness that that show has brought for a lot of people,” he said. “So it’s not going to go down easy.”

“Fuller House” Season 5 is expected to premiere later this year on Netflix.
